Been in the groove lately for some reason. Just completed one of my best sets yet!

I don't do much electro/house type stuff, but was up for a challenge. Feeling this style better than the usual trance/progressive stuff. It maybe a new calling.

Friday night, I had the house to myself and had just DLed a new album. Those of you who've been to my place know we have the entire downstairs wired up for parties. So, I decided to use the house system to practice some DJing. I figured out how to record with the new DJ program so I started with a song I knew, then just picked songs at random off the new album/my harddrive.

When the neighbors hear music at our place, it's a sign we're partying and they usually come over. Well, they were having a party of their own so after the first couple songs, there were a group of people in our living room.

They were smashed so techno was sounding good to all of them. Started with the ladies dancing while the guys were huddled around my laptop watching me pick random songs and work them in. Everyone was having a good time.

This is a recording of what I played that night. Keep in mind this is unedited and just about every song was new to me (the album itself is brand new too). I don't have headphones so I wasn't able to "preview" what I was mixing and trained ears can tell very easily this was all made up on the fly. Just grabbed random songs and worked in!

Overall it turned out really good. Nothing worthy of winning contests, but still entertaining none the less. I had fun just playing with all the different effect features of the new program.
